Fertan Prewax pre-treatment wax, 400 ml   Features: PREWAX is a specially developed pre-treatment wax for auto bodies. It is applied in order to protect metal seams that have previously been treated using FERTAN Rust Converter.  PREWAX leaves a fine, extremely stable wax layer that penetrates into crevices. An addtionaly final coat of Underbody Protection Wax UBS 220 should be applied to underbodies, and cavities, sills, etc. should receive a final coating of HT Cavity Protection Wax. PREWAX's penetrating power insures that even overlapping sheets of metal and compounds are well protected at their welds and seams.  The product can also be sprayed on to metal as a final protective coating, leaving behind a very thin but stable film.  Residues are easily removed with mineral spirits. Highly flamable Irritant Environment damaging   Usage: Spray directly onto folds or metal overlaps from a short distance.  For cavities, sills, etc. use the included 4 mm applicator probe to spray directly into the cavity, allowing for slow and complete penetration. Penetration should be clearly visible at welds and overlaps. Because of the viscosity of the product, some run-off should be expected. Cover the floor during application and clean off residue as soon as possible with mineral spirits.

By combining it as a corrosion inhibitor and lubricant, moving parts such as idler pulleys, chain transmissions or joints can be protected.   FLUID FILM AS-R can be used very effectively for the maintenance of sports, leisure and household equipment or in the restoration sector, where special attention is paid to the original patina.   Unlike conventional products, FLUID FILM AS-R is more environmentally friendly and economical to use due to its solvent-free composition.   The basic substance lanolin is not volatile like oil or kerosene and does not resinify. In contrast, the effect of solvents usually wears off after 12-15 seconds, and that of oil or kerosene ends after a few days, at which point these conventional agents completely lose their protective effect.   The insert from the 400 ml spray can allows an even application on large surfaces with the normal spray attachment.   For pinpoint use even in difficult-to-reach places, there is a 15 cm long spray tube on the can. The FERTAN rust converter can be used even on damp surfaces and is free of pollutants.   Application: FERTAN Rust converter Application: (Shake before use) Remove loose rust and prepare a smooth lacquerable surface for the surface to be painted later. (e. g. by grinding) Before applying FERTAN, it is important to clean surfaces of oil, grease, silicone and dirt. Apply FERTAN using a clean brush, roller or spray gun.   Temperature information: Allow FERTAN to act at temperatures above 20°C for 24 hours. In dry environment or direct sunlight, moisten slightly after 1-2 hours (fog moisture). At temperatures of 5 – 19° C, extend the reaction time to approx. 48 hours, or longer. Do not use in frost and temperatures below 5° C!   Surface turns black – blue violet Ideal for post-treatment after 6 months at the latest: Filler, primer (FERPOX, MM30), colour, cavity protection wash and underbody protection waxes (UBS 240), EP resins etc. Only rinse the surface with water before further treatment (the surface should not be damaged mechanically, otherwise the protective layer will be destroyed – no grinding, etc. ) This black, blue-violet surface can be overpainted with all conventional primers and varnishes, 1 litre of FERTAN is sufficient for approx. 12 – 15m2 surface when applied with a brush. FERTAN may cause stains on bright surfaces and absorbent surfaces, so cover them and wash splashes immediately with water, avoiding any open-pored material (e. g. wood, concrete, etc. ) that should not be processed. Clean tools after use with clear water. Wear protective clothing and follow safety instructions.
