Product information "Fluid Film Gel BN 1 Liter"
FLUID FILM Gel BN 1 liter
FLUID Film Gel BN is a solvent-free, soft coating material based on lanolin, environmentally friendly and physiologically harmless.
- 1 liter
- Low environmental impact
- Uncomplicated processing
- Application by trowel, brush or roller possible
Features
- Solvent-free, therefore considerably less environmental impact during processing, greater safety in operation.
- Economical to use and uncomplicated to process. In thickness of up to more than 1,000 μm can be applied in a single operation can be applied (by airless spraying).
- Can also be applied by trowel, brush or roller.
- Cost-effective method of spraying by means of lances, which in the majority of in the majority of cases it is not necessary to erect a scaffold.
- 1-component product with excellent adhesion, even on intact penetrates residual rust excellently; layer rust that is not removed will be fall off from the metallic substrate after some time!
- Renewal coatings can be applied after removal of all loose mud, standing water, can be immediately applied with FLUID
FILM can be applied. - Corrosion protection of steel parts and other metal parts during transport.
- Storage and processing in the manufacturing plant.
- Observance of the dew point during processing is not necessary, as long as no condensation can be detected.
- Highest resistance to aqueous media.
- Temperature stable from -45°C (248 K) to approx. 70°C (3 43 K),
- If the coating is damaged, FLUID FILM Gel B exhibits a limited
limited self-healing effect.
Surface preparation:
- The surfaces must be dry, free from dirt and loose components such as rust and old coatings. For damp-wet surfaces, an adhesive layer of FLUID FILM Gel B can be rubbed in using a hard brush.
- Remove dirt and loose components by high pressure washing, sticking or brushing. Laminates layer rust from the metallic substrate.
- On surfaces where the water flow exceeds 3 m/sec (e.g. under the inlet and outlet funnels), a curing coating suitable for ballast water tanks should be applied. On surfaces exposed to high water turbulence, e.g. tank tops in DB tanks, the FLUID FILM coating can be strengthened by applying an additional layer of PERMA FILM. In this case, FLUID FILM should have a layer thickness of approx. 200 μm and PERMA FILM a layer thickness of 200 μm (wet).
