Product information "Fertan Hohlraumschutz-Set HT Wachs 1l + Pistole"

FERTAN CAVITY PROTECTION SET HT WAX 1L + CAVITY GUN

FERTAN cavity protection wax was developed for the preservation of car cavities based on wax.

Features:

  • 1 litre normdose
  • for the end protection of cavities, e. g. in car bodies
  • The composition of the product allows easy processing without the product flowing out of the cavities.
  • Due to the presence of resins, an optimal adhesion is achieved, even on vertical surfaces, etc.
  • HT wax remains very soft and thus obtains the property of automatically closing small cracks in the coating even after years.
  • for many years successful:
    • in the restoration of vintage cars
    • in the restoration of new motor vehicles
    • Coating of industrial structures

Processing:

  • Shake well before use.
  • FERTAN cavity protection Insert wax into the cavities by means of a cavity gun with 360° nozzle. Use the boreholes installed by the vehicle manufacturer or, if necessary, install new boreholes. Apply wax to the edges of the holes.
  • FERTAN cavity protection Wax does not drip. Remove any splashes with test petrol.

Processing temperature:
  • The optimum processing temperature and the temperature of the body should be min. 20°C.

For restorations and post-treatment:
  • Apply wax 24 hours after rust removal by FERTAN rust converters.
  • Please note the processing instructions for the rust converter.
    • After rust removal and before application of cavity protective wax, pre-treat the welds and sheet metal overlaps with a layer of PREWAX pre-treatment wax, a seam-penetrating protective wax with extreme creepability.
    • Then apply cavity protection wax in several thin layers, staggered by 12-48 hours to compensate for shrinkage cracks.

Dry season:
  • At + 20° C: approx. 5 hours

Consumption:
  • approx. 5 litres canister for a medium class passenger car
  Processing pressure:
  • cavity suction cup gun with 360° nozzle approx. 6 – 9 bar
  • cavity pressure cup gun with 360° nozzle approx. 3 – 4. 5 bar

Fertan underbody protection and cavity gun:

  • Large riser tube for waxes completely made of metal
  • With cavity probe 600 mm and 360° nozzle
  • For standard doses
  • Ideal for processing Fertan HT cavity protection wax, UBS 240 underbody protection wax and stonechip protection

Technical characteristics:

  • Air flow rate: 300 l / min
  • Pressure: 2 – 8 bar
  • Inner diameter: 10 mm
  • Performance: Min. 350 / 100 l (2. 2 – 3 kW)
  • Connection: 1/4”

Fertan Rust Converter, 1 Liter, Standard Can
Fertan Rust Converter, 1 Liter   The FERTAN rust converter is the perfect rust converter. With the FERTAN rust converter you can easily remove strong rust. For optimal rust removal.   Features: 1 litre standard dose for the removal of rust and corrosion of carbon steel for vehicles, vehicle parts and fuel tanks, car body cavities for metal constructions, ships, ship parts, port facilities for steel halls, conservatories and other carbon steel components Proven for decades in restoration the surface to be treated must be free of dirt, oil, grease and silicone, i. e. metallically clean, but not rust-free   Fertan Rust converter advantages: As a rust converter, FERTAN dissolves the existing rust layer (Fe3) and decomposes it into a non-reactive powder. The non-corrosive Fe2 layer underneath is protected with the new metal bond and the previously corroded metal can be provided with the required final protection within 6 months. This can be used in paint, varnish, wax, tar, zinc, epoxy resin, etc. e. be. FERTAN rust converter can be used successfully on slightly rusted, strong rust and also on bare metal. The protective effect is achieved in principle. The product is also water-based for environmental reasons. For this reason, the surface to be treated must be free of dirt, oil, grease and silicone, i. e. metallic clean, but not rust-free. Only with extremely strong rust layers, over 5 mm, a second treatment may be necessary. However, use FERTAN only at temperatures above 5°C and leave on for about 24 – 48 hours. Always clean the surface with water before the final treatment. The FERTAN rust converter can be used even on damp surfaces and is free of pollutants.   Application: FERTAN Rust converter Application: (Shake before use) Remove loose rust and prepare a smooth lacquerable surface for the surface to be painted later. (e. g. by grinding) Before applying FERTAN, it is important to clean surfaces of oil, grease, silicone and dirt. Apply FERTAN using a clean brush, roller or spray gun.   Temperature information: Allow FERTAN to act at temperatures above 20°C for 24 hours. In dry environment or direct sunlight, moisten slightly after 1-2 hours (fog moisture). At temperatures of 5 – 19° C, extend the reaction time to approx. 48 hours, or longer. Do not use in frost and temperatures below 5° C!   Surface turns black – blue violet Ideal for post-treatment after 6 months at the latest: Filler, primer (FERPOX, MM30), colour, cavity protection wash and underbody protection waxes (UBS 240), EP resins etc. Only rinse the surface with water before further treatment (the surface should not be damaged mechanically, otherwise the protective layer will be destroyed – no grinding, etc. ) This black, blue-violet surface can be overpainted with all conventional primers and varnishes, 1 litre of FERTAN is sufficient for approx. 12 – 15m2 surface when applied with a brush. FERTAN may cause stains on bright surfaces and absorbent surfaces, so cover them and wash splashes immediately with water, avoiding any open-pored material (e. g. wood, concrete, etc. ) that should not be processed. Clean tools after use with clear water. Wear protective clothing and follow safety instructions.
