OWATROL, 300 ml Spray Can, Paint Conditioner & Rust Inhibitor Features: Suitable for a multitude of uses, Owatrol Oil performs in a variety of situations, from protecting metal from rust to penetrating and enhancing a wood's natural grain. As a colourless solution, Owatrol Oil is a versatile product - ideal as a rust inhibitor, paint conditioner, penetrating oil and more. OWATROL-Oil protects metals against rust, stopping corrosion at source and protecting the base metal form further rust. As a colourless solution, Owatrol Oil penetrates deep into the sound metal, protecting from corrosion and driving out any air and moisture to stabilise the material. When mixed with any paint, Owatrol Oil improves workability and paint-flow. Owatrol Oil enhances the viscosity of the mixture, resulting in an improved application ideal for exceptionally cold, warm or windy conditions. Owatrol Oil also makes alkyd based paints rust inhibiting, further enhancing the solution. Owatrol Oil also improves the 'hiding power' of paint, replacing potentially damaging thinners. As a colourless solution, Owatrol Oil maintains the natural look to any material it is applied to. It offers excellent adhesion to materials such as woods and metals such as zinc, aluminium and galvanised surfaces. The advanced adhesion of Owatrol Oil makes it an ideal base for priming or finishing materials, and allows paint to be applied directly onto corroded or rusted surfaces. Owatrol Oil offers a heat resistance up to 175+oC.   Applications for use: Designed for ferrous and non ferrous metals. (may be applied on wood, plastics, glass) Lightly to heavily rusted surfaces. On new surfaces, use Owatrol AP60 May be used in any oil based paints, air drying alkyds, lacquers and varnishes, one component urethanes and asphalt / petroleum based paints. May be mixed with oil based stains/paint to improve impregnation of wood and protection of metal surfaces (hinges and fittings) Do not mix with quick drying paints (car paints), chlorinated rubber paints, with two components paints and water based paints Application instructions: Surface must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil and dirt!
